Whirlpool Bids Its Final Farewell — Thank You for the Journey, Until We Meet Again!

Whirlpool has just officially published its final STAFF Blog post and unveiled a final commemorative illustration, formally completing all of its closing activities and drawing the curtain on the brand's 20-plus-year history.

Even in their final work before departure, Relirium -レリリウム- 遺跡と出逢いと冒険と, Whirlpool stayed true to their obsession with the R18 edition — love doesn't spoil, but it can go bankrupt.

At the very least, their final title was released in full, and they finally held the long-awaited concert — over the course of half a year, they gave themselves a perfect send-off with flowers and applause.

Under today's increasingly unstable external conditions, the galgame industry is struggling as well.

Add to that the fact that many of the core creators have passed the age for grinding it out, and with a shrinking industry environment and talent drain, choosing to end things here may well be a dignified choice.

Though this parting may be permanent, their works still tell people that the road will be carried on by those who share the same wish.

May there come a day when those whose dreams went unfinished finally return — we look forward to that day, the day we meet again.

After 20 years of companionship, saying goodbye to Whirlpool may also be a way of saluting our past selves.

The Final Address

Hello everyone, this is アラガー.

Since announcing our dissolution at the start of the year, we have now wrapped up our final general retail sale event, and with that, all of the originally planned activities have come to a close.

I have never lived through eight months so intense and so fulfilling. Especially this past May, when レリリウム went Master Up, and this July, when we held the Live.

Will I ever encounter something in my life again that makes me pour myself into it with everything I have?

It even fills me with a kind of fear.

Looking back, it truly was a stretch of time so blessed that it gave me thoughts like these. And now, I am savoring that happiness, bit by bit.

And all of you? How have these months been for you?

Were you able to share in the fun with us?

Whatever it is — a corporate activity, or simply an individual expressing their feelings — whenever you're trying to convey something to this world, it always comes with a certain nervousness.

Even so, if you can get over that hurdle and truly feel that the "something" you wanted to convey has actually reached the other side — then perhaps there's nothing more to ask for.

A game can never be made by one person alone.

Every department, every single person brings together the "broth" they've simmered from their own lives and devotion, and only then does it blend into a flavor that is fun and unique.

As for me, I'm just an ordinary person without any real professional skills.

If I had to say, I'd probably count as nothing more than a stock with a slight flavor of my own.

Even so, might everything I've put in and experienced over these years count, for someone else, as a bit of "broth" in that pot too?

These days have been so much fun that they even led me to indulge in this little sentimental flight of fancy.
