How do I unsubscribe from the email digest?

Every digest email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message. Clicking it unsubscribes you immediately and stops delivery. If your mail client supports a native "Unsubscribe" button, that works too.

Unsubscribing stops delivery; the subscription record itself (email address, followed titles, digest preferences) is then deleted within about thirty days. The unsubscribe confirmation page also offers "permanently delete my data": clicking it deletes the record at once instead of waiting for that period.

Where is my data stored, and how do I delete it?

Without an account, your reading history, preferences, and cached content stay on your device: deleting the App clears them, and the in-app local data reset clears the reading history and preferences while leaving the restricted content setting as it is.

When you sign in, your email reminders, push reminders, saved items, and home layout sync with your account across your devices; read state, appearance, and reading preferences stay on each device. Deleting your account removes that synced data together with any digest subscription. Where does the content come from?

The release calendar and news items come from ymgal.games, a third-party public database, and every news item is reprinted with permission; it carries the original author byline, the full publication date, and a link to the original at the top and bottom of the article. Entry information reflects each publisher's own announcements and may be delayed, incomplete, or subject to change.

The weekly digest comes from Galgame Hihyou (a visual-novel review desk publishing on Bilibili) and is reprinted with authorization; every issue names the original link and its publication date. GalVoyage is operated by the operator of the Service, which develops and publishes it. All content is reprinted with permission; GalVoyage only selects and lays it out and does not report or write stories itself. Rights to all content remain with the respective publishers and authors; selection does not represent the position of any publisher.

What is the "Restricted content" setting?

GalVoyage is an information service for visual novels: it does not distribute games or sell anything, and store and reference links open in your system browser. Some listings are marked as intended for adults by their source (including ymgal.games), or by our own review, or their source does not say; we treat all three as restricted. By default their cover image and description are withheld, follow and outbound links are disabled, and they are omitted from search results with the omitted count disclosed; the email digest applies the same restricted treatment, but in the digest a listing appears by its title and date alone, without the cover image, description, or links. Title, release date, platform, and publisher stay visible so the calendar stays complete. You can turn on full display under "Me → Restricted content"; before turning it on you confirm that you have read and agree to the statements in the Restricted Content Notice. The setting lives only on this device, is not synchronized with your account, and resets when you delete the app.

Do you verify my age?

No. Turning the setting on is your own declaration. We check no documents or cards, and our servers only recognise that this device declared, not who declared. Do not rely on GalVoyage to keep minors away: turn the setting off before handing over the device, or restrict the app with your device's parental controls.

Why are some listings never shown, even with the setting on?

Listings whose title contains explicit sexual language, and listings we have individually reviewed and excluded, are not shown in any mode; the setting cannot reveal them. As to material that may be unlawful, we apply the standard of the Restricted Content Notice to the information available to us and exclude where we are uncertain; we do not represent that every such item has been identified. If you become aware of material that may be unlawful, please write to us and we will remove it upon confirming it. This is different from "restricted": restricted is withheld, excluded is gone.

I saw something that should not appear, or an ordinary work was withheld. What now?

Classification relies on source flags and our review, and can be wrong in either direction. Write to the address at the bottom of this page with the listing and your view; we will review it and may withhold it meanwhile. Third-party sites decide what they show; that is outside the app.

Does the setting sync to my other devices?

No. It is stored on this device only and must be confirmed separately on each device; deleting the app restores it to off, and the in-app local data reset does not change it.

Reminders don't fire on time, or content looks stale

Reminders are scheduled locally by the system on a calendar trigger: check that notifications are allowed for the App in system settings, and that your device isn't in Focus mode or Low Power Mode (both can delay notifications).

Content updates require a network connection. Pull to refresh forces a re-fetch; while offline, the App keeps showing the last cached content.
